DESTINATION:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this event, we have chosen the green heart of Italy: Umbria<\/strong> . With its varied landscape, which alternates wide open expanses with dense forests, this region offers an ideal habitat for a wide range of wildlife species. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place in two distinct environments, each with its own unique characteristics. The first part of the workshop will take place in the wetland area of the WWF oasis of Lake Alviano,<\/strong> where we will move between huts equipped for bird watching and photography<\/strong> . Here you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamental techniques of photography from a hut<\/strong> , guided by two professional photographers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part of the workshop will be held near the Monte Rufeno Nature Reserve<\/strong> . In this context, we will dedicate ourselves to the search for mammals<\/strong> , exploring the terrain together to identify the perfect place for the stakeouts. We will study together the principles of this photographic technique, immersed in an extraordinary natural environment. <\/p>\n\n\n

DESCRIPTION OF THE EVENT:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Get ready to experience two days immersed in nature and nature photography!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will explore the picturesque surroundings of Orvieto in search of the best spots for wildlife observation. During this event, you will join groups led by professional photographer Andrea Benvenuti<\/strong> who will take you step by step through the fundamental aspects of nature photography. This workshop is designed for those who want to learn the basics of wildlife photography and observation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, we will go through all the essential stages that will allow every nature enthusiast to take their first nature photographs, always with full respect for the environment<\/strong> . The heart of this event is the protection of nature and respect for wild animals, values that will unite us in this unique experience.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n

The workshop will be divided into two intense days<\/strong> , dedicated to stakeouts, excursions and naturalistic observations of all kinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At this time of year, nature offers winter scenery and the wetlands fill with migratory birds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Led by an expert photographer and environmental scientist<\/strong> , you will learn to approach nature and photography with competence and respect, taking your first steps into this fascinating world.<\/p>\n\n\n

During this experience, we will stay in a welcoming 3-star hotel located in a quiet Umbrian village, where we will take the theoretical lesson, where we will spend the night and eat typical Umbrian recipes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a few minutes from Orvieto and the motorway exit<\/strong> , we will find ourselves in a silent green paradise, surrounded by picturesque villages and lush nature<\/strong> , ideal for wildlife observation. It will be a perfect balance between relaxation and learning on the field. <\/p>\n\n\n

Saturday<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • 9.00 am:<\/strong> Arrival at Castel Viscardo, transfer and hotel accommodation, followed by presentations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Introduction:<\/strong> Discussion of basic techniques of nature photography and presentation of the areas we will explore, with a focus on the animal species we might encounter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • First Excursion:<\/strong> Exploratory walk for a first contact with the surrounding environment, search for tracks and lesson on how to find photographic spots.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Camera Trap and Monitoring:<\/strong> Practical demonstration on how to place and use a camera trap to monitor wildlife.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Photo Session:<\/strong> Set up a photo session until sunset, taking advantage of the golden light of twilight.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Evening at the Hotel:<\/strong> Return to the hotel and convivial dinner to conclude the day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    • Wake up at dawn:<\/strong> Departure for the WWF Oasis of Lake Alviano, where a photo session will be held inside equipped huts. You will be accompanied by two professional photographers, who will guide you step by step during each phase of the session. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Final Briefing:<\/strong> The session will continue until late morning, offering the opportunity to capture wildlife in its natural habitat. At the end of the session we will take some time to talk about the photos taken while receiving useful advice from the two teachers. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • End of activities:<\/strong> In the late morning, before lunch, the activities will end, followed by greetings and departure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n

      RECOMMENDED PHOTOGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      For this event we recommend a reflex, mirrorless or bridge camera with a lens that reaches at least 300 mm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      If necessary, you can rent Canon, Nikon or Sony equipment directly from the organization.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

      where will we stay?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      We will stay at the hotel \u201cLa Pergoletta\u201d in Castel Viscardo (TR).<\/strong> A three-star hotel in a small village a few kilometers from Orvieto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The hotel can be easily reached by car, taking the Orvieto exit on the A1 motorway and travelling for about 15 minutes through the splendid Umbrian hills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      By public transport you can reach Orvieto station and then request a private transfer to reach your final destination.<\/p>\n\n\n

      What clothing will I need?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      Boots (preferably waterproof), raincoat and ground stakeouts, a camouflage net or sheet if you have one, otherwise they will be provided by the organizer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
